Endocrinology covers all the issues associated with diseases of the endocrine glands, i.e. the glands producing hormones.

Human fertility is highly influenced by thyroid disorders, which is why consultations and endocrine care is often recommended and an important part of infertility treatment.

The most common diseases of the thyroid, which can be examined at our clinic, include hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, thyroid nodules, diabetes, menstrual disorders, abnormal secretion of prolactin, acromegaly, Addison’s disease (adrenal insufficiency – symptoms of the disease increase quite slowly as the concentration of the hormones produced in the adrenal cortex is too low) and Cushing’s syndrome (or hypercortisolism or primary hyperadrenocorticism or disease in which the adrenal cortex produces excessive amounts of steroid hormones. Cushing’s syndrome is mainly diagnosed in patients between the ages of 20 and 50).
